23rd February – Nannup to Fremantle

Having juggled our plans to take in Margaret River yesterday, we took the scenic route along the Blackwood River today. Once at Balingup, we followed the highway to Busselton. It was altogether a lovely drive in fine sunny weather.

It was busy in Busselton – the weekend crowds. The pier and train along it are a popular family activity. After looking around and watching the train load and head off, we decided coffee was calling. It was very pleasant overlooking the beach and pier and just relaxing. We only had a relatively short trip to get back to Perth, plenty of time up our sleeves.

It was an easy process, returning the car and getting an Uber down to Fremantle. Checked in to our hotel, settled in then organised to catch up with friends for dinner on the waterfront. It was a lovely evening and the sunset did not disappoint.
